Nikkor 24-85 ED 3.5-4.5G Vs 28-80 3.3-5.6G [Mid]

Climate = Khatulistiwa - Tropical Rainforest like.
Camera = Nikon D2H with updated firmware version A: 2.02 B:2.01
WB = Auto
Metering = 3D Matrix Metering
Colour Mode=sRGB I
ISO=200
Storage = Sandisk Extreme III 1.0 GB Esp Technology
Other factors =Correct exposure priority.

Conclusion: Both produced more likely the same result, and Nikkor 28-80 does have that extra colour punch.The budget lens surely at par to the more expensive lens! + the biggest aperture is f/3.3 compare to f/3.5 on the ED lens.

Lastly, do not underestimate the budget lens!
